I am really loving having my computer to play on. I have had a blast with the coupon prints etc. Tony and I saved 94.00 at Target the other day. Yahoo!!. The man behind us made a great fuss over the way the total kept going into minusland. Tony and I love doing this.
Tony & I were supposed to visit the kids today. I wasn't feeling well. I've got to get up there soon because I am getting so homesick for all my babies. (I know they aren't all babies, but I think of them that way.) They mean so much to me. I get on their blogs and see all the cute pictures - and then I get even more homesick. The blogs seem to bring them closer somehow and I'm always reading them to Tony and describing all of the pictures. He loves to hear all about them too.
My cat, Willie, loves my computer chair (originally my dad's) and also loves the pink robe that I keep in it to keep me warm. Whenever I vacate the chair - suddenly there's the cat curled up in it. He also gets all upset if I happen to want to sit there - poor kitty - HA!
Oprah had a very thought provoking show today about cell phone use and texting while driving. She's asking all to make a pledge not to do it at all. On the program were some people from Logan, Utah that had lost 2 family members because 19 year old Reggie had been texting while he drove. It was very heart wrenching to hear their stories. Reggie went before the Utah Legislature and helped get our strict laws passed about texting - he also goes all around Utah to high schools speaking to the students and telling him his story. They also did several tests of people in 3 different situations. The first was no phone - they had perfect clarity and peripheral vision. 2 - was while talking on the phone - they lost a good share of their peripheral vsion. 3 - was while texting - peripheral was gone, but there were simply things that they didn't see, like pedestrians, red lights etc. It was down right scarey to see the example. They say that it's not so much the physical aspect that's gone but the brain. The brain simply cannot process so much at once. I have made a pledge within myself not to use the cell phone at all. And then to pray - so that I won't encounter someone who is.
I feel so grateful to have such a wonderful life and so many blessings. I try to have a gratitude attitude both in life and daily in prayer. Heavenly Father has been so very good to me.
